If Nazi’s did what Islamists do, the country would be up in arms to stop it. What is it about religion that makes us turn a blind eye? They exploit our tolerance to undermine democracy and free speech and we just sit back and let it happen. Are soaps, sport, a celebrity cult and playing video games and the latest gadgets taking all our attention that we don’t notice what is happening all around us? Have we all become like Pinochio and his ‘friends’ going to the fair who so obsessed with pleasure didn’t realise what was going on until they woke up the next day as donkeys. How many today still know what ‘free speech’ means and actively seek to protect it or are we already not able anymore to produce more than a ‘hee-haw’.
